Detection of the position and angle of a turntable ladder

In order to position a turntable ladder accurately and to be able to act immediately in an emergency, it is essential to accurately record the position of the turntable and the angle of the ladder in relation to the undercarriage. By using the WDGA 36J absolute encoder, it is possible to precisely repeat the motion sequences for positioning the aerial ladder. The robust and compact design of the WDGA 36J, which is available with various interfaces (for example CANopen), makes it an excellent sensor solution.
