Wachendorff Automation, manufacturer of high-precision and robust sensor technology for measuring positions, speeds and lengths, has been represented by its subsidiary Wachendorff Automation (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in Suzhou in Jiangsu Province since 2015.
Steadily growing business relationships with well-known Chinese customers and partners, as well as the continuously increasing demand in the Chinese region for encoder-based solutions based on high-quality and industrially robust products, were the decisive factors in this decision.
The subsidiary of Wachendorff Automation GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) is managed and operated by Chinese employees in order to be closer and more concrete with our customers in China. This is also expressed by a website registered and operated in China:
The very well trained staff takes care of customer inquiries and with their great expertise ensures that our customers feel very well looked after.
"With our sales office in Suzhou, we enable our Chinese partners and customers to receive competent advice on the implementation of our innovative encoder sensor systems, which are precisely tailored to the needs of the Chinese market. Above all, with the help of our Chinese colleagues, our local customer proximity is sustainably improved, because we speak a common language", says David Strieth.
"This is very important, because we always aim to provide our customers with the optimal solution for their specific application". David Strieth, in his function as Channel Manager, is the link between the parent company in Germany and the sales office in Suzhou.
The management of the sales office in Suzhou is in the hands of James Bao.
The agile mid-thirties, an electrical engineer, gained extensive industry knowledge before joining Wachendorff, through his previous activities with other manufacturers of automation products. He is the ideal person to maintain and further expand the business relationships already in place with direct customers and distributors in China. He will be supported by colleagues in the internal sales department.
The company in the Suzhou Industrial Park is very easy to reach and offers reserves for expansion, as Wachendorff is also keeping an eye on the possible establishment of a production facility for local requirements.
Thanks to its good transport links and proximity to Shanghai and Singapore, Suzhou is one of the boom cities of the modern China. Numerous companies with an international reputation are based here.
Our innovative, agile spirit fits perfectly with the dynamism and rapid technological progress in China. I am always impressed by it on my flying visits, for example when I attend trade fairs," says Robert Wachendorff.
